My favorite store in Haleiwa, Hawaii on the North Shore of Oahu is GLOBAL CREATIONS. It hosts a wonderful mix of original art by local artists, beach house furniture such as bamboo, rattan and furniture from Indonesia. It's the perfect fusion of Asian accents, cool blue and green beach house decor and fine art. The women who work there live and play in the area, and the manager is a interior designer. That explains the amazing style that you'll find there.
The shop is located between the North Shore's famous Matsumoto Shave Ice shop and Haleiwa Eats, a great Thai restaurant.
You'll spot it easily along Kamehameha Highway on your way to the ocean via Haleiwa Town. It'll be on your left and will catch your eye with all the hand-dyed pareo (sarongs) fluttering in the breeze outside the shop.
You can find handmade jewelry, original art, hand-dyed island style bedding and (my favorite) handpainted beachhouse signs by Dana Pang, whose husband makes surfboards.
